                    Aqua de Beber



When with you, gin, rum or bourbon, I do not need
Just amorous you, plus drinking water fill all my needs.
A bit of Jobim's Bossa Nova, add that fall breeze 
simply luscious and divine.
Knowing I am yours, in arms that embrace me, 
as the most, tender of all cherished vines.

Panagiota, Wonderful squishy feeling in this poem. Though why has it taken me so long to learn the sultry sounds of the Bossa Nova? 'Aqua de Beber'., really like that title. Still embarrassed to admit I had to translate it. If one were to strike a rock I would be satiated with whatever poured from it. Though preferably a Merlot. -Richard

A Merlot! Enjoy. Bossa Nova is sultry. The title is one of Jobim’s songs-)) of course you had to look up the title! You do not speak Portuguese! Have you ever seen the movie...Black Orpheus? It’s online. All filmed in Brazil with subtitles. Am not sure if Jobim wrote the music. You might like it. It’s based on the story of Orpheus and Eurydice. With your romantic soul, I am certain you would like it. Panagiota..(Brazilian at heart)

Prince de Mino..hi! I haven’t been around much. Hope you and Ila are doing well. If someone needs booze ...a signal of possible alcoholism. Which kills many in this country, ruins lives and is a depressant. No warning on a bottle that it is such. Some can drink. Many cannot. They don’t know it, It’s a drug but OKin most societies. I don’t care who drinks, as long as it it not me! Panagiota
