Anacreontic Verse 3
Cool crystal raindrops
scrolled down the palm leaves
swishing and drooling
over sloping eaves
The scarlet lilies
reddening their cheeks
bugled open to
the bees tranquilly
snoring in their hives
under painted roofs
Last eve I sat in
the shady arbour
luxuriously
enjoying the rain
playing salsa with
these blooming girls in
crimson skirts in a
signature scented
floral studio
painting hues of red
