A ghostly mist hangs in the air as greyish clouds morph into rain. And though it seems somewhat unfair, a ghostly mist hangs in the air. And rays of sunshine being rare, red robins delay their refrain. A ghostly mist hangs in the air as greyish clouds morph into rain. Red robins delay their refrain, depressed by spring's drizzling showers. Greeting foul weather with disdain, red robins delay their refrain. It's hard to accept constant rain, despite the promise of flowers. Red robins delay their refrain, depressed by spring's drizzling showers. Despite the promise of flowers, such rains wash away paper dreams. For it's been pouring down for hours, despite the promise of flowers. Over time everyone's mood sours, but no one can hear silent screams. Despite the promise of flowers, such rains wash away paper dreams. (Intertwining Triolet) 5/6/2017

Wow, this is clever - I love how you worked with this intricate form. Congrats on your placement, Emile. We had way too much rain here, too.

wow, what an intricate poem you've written! I've never heard of an intertwining triolet. I'm so impressed! But I have to confess, I love rain. I can remember only a few times that I've been upset because it's raining... Love your poem dear Emile... hope your weekend is going well.

Thanks Becca, I have nothing against the rain...I just wished it would be little more spread out, it's May, we should be swept up with spring, the sun, the leaves and the flowers, but all we are getting day after day is rain, I appreciate your comments, Emile.

I enjoyed this poem... how it made me growl; eliciting an emotional response is the success of art after all ;) 7! xomo

A somewhat different take on the theme than what others say usually ... but the perspective has been poetically highlighted very nicely ... A beautiful triolet ... Enjoyed reading ...
