April Fawn

Longing in lowly light of longer days by which a summer wilts paternal dreams and browns the loitered heaves of yellow spring: the budding void that stamps an empty swing seen swaying golden locks ungated beams my own Begotten streamed in greener dawn where fussy forums for an April fawn allay no muttered march on mother’s May. I don't think you need to put the label of sonnet on this magnificent piece Phillip. Strictly following the form limits your creativity. I feel as if I can drink this poem in as an elixir of ambrosia! It has a haunting beauty that stirs the soul in poignant pain. I know now who your poetry reminds me of and why I enjoy it so much. It is because your style kind of reminds me of my favorite poet, Lord Byron. Anyone who understands great poetry would praise the genius of this piece. A Fave 7+ ; )

Thank you, Connie, for not spinning another dead poet on my conscience. A few more of those and I worry they might form some sort of society and rise up against me :)
