Approaching Storm

APPROACHING STORM
Waves laugh crashing on the shore,
Capped in a snow white form.
Dark skies are gathering above,
Signs of an approaching storm.

Cool breeze has turned to wind,
Seagulls no longer in sight
Gone to find places of safety,
To take shelter in the night.

Darkness has now taken over,
Claps of thunder, loud and low
Then lightning like fireworks,
Puts on a spectacular show
.
Heaven opens as rain falls down,
Watering the thirsty earth,
Soon the storm will pass over
And plant life will spring new birth.
