Appreciation

Have I ever told you how
wonderful you are? 
well if I didn't now I'm telling you
your wonderful I wouldn't 
be the person I am today
if it wasn't for you 
the way you stay on
me about doing the right thing
the way you curse me out 
if I get on your nerves or if I 
just catch you on a bad day
not to mention the fact that 
you went above and beyond 
for me, past the call of duty
and for that I am forever grateful
so the only thing I can do
is to help you in anyway possible
anything you want
you can have it
I would move the stars
and the heavens for you if I could
so thank you for everything 
that you have done
and are still doing 
so don't ever say that I don't 
appreciate you when I do things
that don't make sense
because I am only human
and I will make mistakes
but one thing that I wouldn't do
is take you for granted
because without you I 
would be lost like a needle in a haystack 
so just bear with me a little while longer
and I promise you that I 
will make you proud of me
and that will be my way of 
showing you just how much
I appreciate you and what you do 
thank you for being who you are 
because no one can do you
better than you
