Apology

Tis come to light without my aid the dark deed
That from a bright throne like tarnished soot proceed
And yet not all the dungeon darkness of my time
Can stain nor mange my offered love yet sublime
Behold the days that I pant for they are but brief
Till I afford the friends that conspire your relief
For without this quick eclipse of sovereign time
I die before thee. Let no terrors then thy heart chime
My wealth is nothing before a throne gem cold
But I thy pauper shall enrich me by true love bold
And make thee my bride as thou hast have me
O sweetest bride to, O sun to this poor moon aglow
Think not now that be part of that prank in perfidy
But nobler dream my coming and wait my truth to show.
