Apocalypse Christmas
Twas the night before Christmas, it was here without notice,
But everything has changed, thanks to the POTUS.
We can only remember and play pretend,
The world as we know it has come to an end,
The bombs they flew and blew our world away,
We lost our loved ones, and friends every day.
They hit the dreaded button, the one we always feared,
Our enemies hit their target, they may have even cheered.
We knew it was over when the ash began to fall,
We finally found shelter in the old city hall.
And tucked in the corner was an old Christmas Tree,
Long forgotten, and dusty, how could it be?
We found some ornaments, and eagerly worked,
It wasn't that pretty, but it wasn't the worst.
So we sat by the tree, and prayed for our fate,
Man caused this issue, there was no debate.
So we sang some carols, over the candle light flare,
We talked about Jesus, and the heaven up there.
There were no presents, big dinner, or pineapple ham,
We exchanged tools, and ideas, and a can of old Spam.
We had a renewed spirit, that only Christmas can do,
Our thanks go to Jesus, for we know HE is true.
Christmas spirit is strong, in spite of all of the tragedy,
We will face the new world, and our altered reality.
