Anything
anything could happen today
i mull and sift through
likely possibilities
rule out the unlikely
settle upon the most reasonable
as usual I walk
take a longer route
still pondering
how the day will unfold
unaware
of the passage of time
the day slips into afternoon
I am still speculating
planning eventualities
working out how to manage
the coming hours
time slips by unnoticed
it is evening
still anything is possible
anything could still surprise
take me unawares
I am yet more vigilant
watching for something
night falls
i ponder the endless possibilities
the odds of anything happening
tomorrow
