Notes About The Poem

Any Scent Will Do

Any Scent Will Do
My love of fragrances started because...

The eldest sister had fallen in love
Was so romantic for the rest of us
Five daughters in all, you can guess the score
The other four were completely in awe.

It was the first Christmas after they'd met
And it was one I will never forget
Us girls gathered in our sister's bedroom 
She opened her presents, all were perfume.

Not expensive scent, for times then were tough
But to me it sure had the magic touch
Ever since that mystical Christmas Day 
I've loved perfume, that'll never fade away.

Eager to sample perfume that’s brand-new 
Rose, Jasmine, Sweet Pea, any scent will do.

Pig backing on what Bill said, I watched Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley recently and this write does put in the mind of that movie. Five sisters, It was hectic with one sister.
