Any Last Words

I hope we can remain friends, she said

We never spoke again

Your shadow became smaller as time passed by

You went your separate way and I went mine

Wondering why we never spoke again

Even though I still saw you almost everyday

How could I love you turn into silence

p.s. I don’t want your courtesy or favors…
