Any Bit of Beauty
As the news rolls in like a tidal wave,
We try to keep our head above water now
Over 100,000 in U.S. predicted to die, as we try to save
We move like swimming, to stay positive somehow
In water so cold, as winter here hasn't passed
But, we dream of spring flowers on the way
We pray this nightmare will not last
We must stay strong, unite and find our way
I think about years ago when I could barely survive
I think about many changes I have endured
Somehow, given the strength to stay alive...
As I sit here waiting for all to be cured
I am grateful for everything around me
My home is not like a cage, because I love it
I will hold onto hope and continue to see
Any bit of beauty, like a new candle to be lit
