anxiety driven, anxiety written

before I bounced from castles to clouds
so high
to so low
and before I adjusted my poor posture
against the tree bark
and before the sweat clogged my face
and before my heartbeat quickened
and before the wind caressed my skin
before I was sun-kissed
and before I sent 100 letters to strangers that I swore I would never send
before the repeats, the rewinds

let's try again
I stood toe to toe with his anxiousness (and with mine)
- yet composed

here I was.
