Anxiety and Depression
Anxiety and depression,
What a horrific pair,
They seek to rob ones
Hopes and joys,
And leave them broken
In despair
Anxiety and depression
Use varying
Robber's tools
Like Faithlessness,
And gossip,
And they call their victims
"Fools!"
Run from their dark hauntings
For their time is drawing nigh
When darkness cannot linger
In the Light from the On High
Anxiety and depression,
What a horrific pair,
They seek to rob ones
Hopes and joys,
And leave them broken
In despair
But we have a mighty weapon
We must call upon The Light
For when the Sun has risen
Does it
Vaporize the night?
So much more the Light
That shines in on the
Dismal pair,
Who worse than night
Seed pain and fright
To grow their crop
Despair
Christ the King
His sword will ring,
His love is bright and fair
I'll call on Him through shadows dim
For He is always there
His mercy ours to share

14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

1 Peter 5:8 reads: "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour"
Ephesians 6:11-24
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
