Anxiety

Anxiety which I felt was boundless. But really I was bound to. Is this my chance to become innocent again? An innocence that used to only exist for a moment between each crisis. To accept happiness so casually. Shouldn’t something bad have to happen first… Some undermined event that… That I had tried to will away. When really I was willing a monster to appear. I never thought I'd feel so powerful- In accepting compassion. In rejecting compulsion.
