Once, when I got bored, I spied the Golden Horde, or, was it just some ants crawling up my pants?

hmm, that's a good point. I changed the word from Mongol horde to golden horde, but I've never seen a golden ant. I've seen red, black and red-black combos. However, your question made me wonder. So, I just did some research and learned something. The citronella ant is golden! yay for the Internet!

Yesterday. I had lots of black ants over me. I was leaning over some plants they were on (unknown to me at the time) trying to get weeds out from behind. Little blighters were fast moving about biting my neck, arm, chest etc. I felt like the victim in the Little Ants Sword I wrote and felt a bit like karma. Your poem brought it all back to me lol. I remember your great poem Emilia! I wonder if it was in my subconscious when I wrote this. It's amazing how fast those guys get to work. I have a blanket which I set out and lie down on, and once in a while, I find the ant armies have mobilized - all over me!
