Antiques

Romans and Greeks
Sound synonymous to antiques,
Symbols of Renaissance
Old yet fashionable,
Not bygone are the most valuable,

Classical stamps of the aeon,
Singing chronicles of yesteryears,
Resurging and Reawakening past,
Are the antiques!

Precious history coming alive,
Culture visible a priceless scribe,
Massive learning for the present,
Since what are known present today,
Will be memorable antiques of tomorrow !!

It is interesting to think that what is modern now will be considered old-fashioned one day. This is a wonderful poem, Dr. Upma! Good luck in the contest!...Thank you very much for the kind comments. :)

So very true. Today's well made stuff will be held in high esteem tomorrow, much like our poetry. Good write.
