Answered Prayers
girl i know you need me and i need you too
when we get together the stars shine for me and you
the moon smiles just a little and winks its eye
as though he is trying to tell me i am a lucky guy
i do not need the moon to say, i hit the jackpot when i met you that day
as we stroll along a gentle breeze caresses your hair
i can not do nothing but stop and stare
pinch myself ouch you are really there
i lay me down to sleep angel by my side
it is going to be some heavenly sleep
as i say my prayers i stop they have already been answered
because i look at you and there you are
it is as though i captured a shooting star
lovely as you are
