Answer Me

Answer Me

Did you think I was just your trophy?
Answer me.
Did you think you could hide your secrets from me?
Answer me.
Did you think I wouldn't notice?
Did you think I wouldn't see?
Answer me.

One day you'll pay.
Your lies will catch up to you.
They always do.

Why did I ever care?
Answer that.
Why did I ever think there was a chance for your romance?
Answer that too.
I got a tiny portion of a movie drama one day out of the year.
Now you ignore the very likes of me being anywhere near.
I was introduced to the saddest part of your life.
What a trade-in for the impossibility of being your wife.

Does she know you're living a lie?
Answer her.
Does she even know why?
Answer her that.
Does she care that she's not the only apple of your eye?
Answer her that too.
Do you have her just as deceived as you had me?
Answer us.

Answer my questions.
Answer them now.
Don't you dare lie with another vow.
Answer me when.
Answer me how.
I'm done convincing myself you're anything more than you said you were.
You need not convince me either.
I'm absolutely sure.

Answer these questions.
I'm sure we're not the only ones.
