Another Vision

I dreamt of another day
Day when fathers halt whipping mothers
Mothers who bridge families

Families sitting together under a tree
A tree of togetherness and absolution
Absolution of a lion to gazelle

A gazelle grazing with hyenas
Hyenas laughing in the meadow
The meadow where I see the sun

The sun above shining for everyone
Everyone shaking everyone’s hands
Hands for reunion and durable concord

Concord bringing smiles on people’s faces
Faces glowing of hope for tomorrow
Tomorrow, when we can stand for the ecosystem.
