Another Tomorrow

I want to laugh until I cry

I want to cry until I laugh

I want the sorrow to become laughter

Until the pain is gone

I want to dance till I fall down

I want to get up and start all over again

I want to sing like I have never sung

Because I know it won't be long

I want to say a million things

Before my voice is gone

I want to live like there is no tomorrow

Because the next tomorrow may not come

I want to be surrounded by love not sadness

For sadness will come soon enough

I want many tomorrows but only maybe have today

I want the Lord to take me by the hand

And in the end lead me to that promise land

For a friend.

I hope our cancer friends have many tomorrows.

Such raw truth here, it is all so fitting and so true...when one comes close to death, it tends to creep in and make the ones left LIVE and grasp at today. Do it, celebrate right now - what an empowering poem. Bless you all, Kristin
