Another Relationship Gone By

I thought this was going to be my last relationship
But I was oh so wrong
I thought this one had too much grip to let it slip
But obviously, this wasn't where my love belonged

I've been in and out of relationships for so long
Now I'm wondering when is Mr. Right going to come along
Every relationship had its own special quality
A special quality that always had a hold on me

Now it's become the time for me to let God take control
For him to send me someone who'll satisfy my soul
For him to send me someone to make me happy
Someone to love me gently

I long for someone whom I can lean on and trust
Someone whom I love; not lust
Someone to love me back and treat me good
To treat me like a real man should

I long for that day
For true love to come my way
And that day will come
I don't know when it's coming but I do know who it's coming from
