Notes About The Poem

This last week a child was left alone on the bus, this time a student in Onterio Canda. At my location a blue light goes up everytime a student from any location gets left alone on a school bus. As per policy as per always all the adults on the bus get fired.

Another One Left Alone

Roses are red
deserted children are blue
one child is all it would take
to traumatize you.

This is horrible! Who leaves the child alone, the bus driver? Really, what adult walks away and leaves a child!!??? You say 'adults' are fired, but surely multiple adults would not abandon a child? Your poem is effectively apt+ and I know that between you, Andrea and me, we could add a couple of other verses, maybe a hundred, scolding, imploding and exploding about such incompetence. Came to thank you for commenting on one of my poems but now I'm too riled up to remember what poem! CayCay

Got it: drive and monitor. My child rode the Special Ed bus, was that the case with the abandoned child in Canada?

I was wondering how many adults were involved, so it's a bus driver and monitor. Ok, that makes sense!

I am not in Canada, but I think you might be misunderstanding me. If a driver and a bus monitor was on a bus a student got left alone in the driver and the monitor got fired. Every adult on a bus has the obligation to search it for children at the end of route. Leaving one behind is not acceptable and no 2nd chances on that either.
