Another Life

There in another life.
I walked along. 

There in another life.
You came along.

I felt you in the sun.
Where did the time go?

When we were one.
There in another life.

I felt your heart beating against my soul.
Where did the time go?

When we thought we were in love.
Why did it not manifest for a lifetime.

On a bed of roses, I lay with you.
But now I see them no more.

Why could we not dance this dance forever more?

I am familiar with people and things, as if I have been there before. This is an enchanting poem, Debbie! However, sometimes it is hard not to think back and lament what we thought we could have had. Or what we thought we had. Your poem captures this sadness with precision. I am glad you had a chance to see my poem about the hummer. It was written out of my annoyance for gas guzzlers. You have a romantic heart, by the way.

I have many other favorites: walking dead, the Bridge, the killing, Dexter, Breaking Bad, just to name a few. Sure wish I could be inspired to write poems from them all!!

It's about a girl who broke up with her guy and now she wishes she had never given him up. If I remember it, I'll let you know. I think it was sung by Taylor Swift. I really enjoyed this.
