Listen to poem:

Another Life

When the world watches on wondering what is going on
Looking for the answers written in the lines of your song

Liken to the blind leading the blind, who is following who
And those who can see coming forward for a better view

I’m stood at this cross-roads wondering which way to go
With God pointing upwards and the Devil pointing below

Wisdom tells me the grass isn’t greener on the other side
Taking the low roads only leaves you crossing rivers wide

The higher roads are more lonely and takes on you its toil
With sleeping under the stars, and your feet upon the soil

Where only the persistent are prepared to follow your trail
Like if you were on a mission, to search for that Holy Grail

I ain’t looking at the ones behind me, only the ones ahead
Who have learned their life lessons, and already prepared

To finish off our final learning journey of this forsaken life
Clean our souls of demons that live inside us, that are rife

Before making our final journey back, with an inner peace
Where onto others, only better times, we can then release
