Another Kind of Temple
Another Kind of Temple
Imagine a temple’s arches
To be the boughs of ancient trees;
This is a holy place as sure
As those man-made curves could be.
Here in my back yard cathedral,
I rest in flower glass windows and stone,
Though its dappled beauty is quiet,
And I am here alone.
Here to dream of Your works
And these You “wonderfully made”
Whether in hot sun they be,
Or morning’s early shade.
