Another Kind of Memory

"recently scenes of early life have stolen into my mind, like breezes blown ..."
Quote by _Samuel Taylor Coleridge (from his writings)

ANOTHER KIND OF MEMORY

I remember seeing what was my future
A more damaged world than one I am in now
As if time’s wounded skin needed a suture

Recollections that such glimpses may allow
Memories are of the past are unlike dreams
And all that which is to come may take a bow

Images beyond today flow in fast streams
Unlike yesterday or any time that passed
Where new ideas and concepts are shared as memes

What I see and hear is not of yesterday
I know what will be, will happen anyway
