Another Door

Another Door

Deep inside us lies a certain fear
Eclipsed by all the trials we have to bear,
And rarely does it's unknown face appear
To those who live their lives with love and care.
How does time relate to those who hide
Behind a lie that's borne by one and all?
Each moment lived each step each measured stride
Carries them towards that final call.
Our deaths may open wide another door
Maybe a road to somewhere more serene,
Ensuring those who live through peace and war
Share feelings felt and passions touched and seen
Mourned by those who did not know us well,
Excludes them from the tale we wish to tell.
