Another Detonation

The explosion was loud,
it rattled panes,
created worried crowds,
darkened clouds,
falling rain,
acid, but rain just the same,
pigeons reeling into the sky,
flying high,
by the millions as they try
to escape the aftermath,
another detonation
could destroy the nation,
God’s creation,
salvation.

How I fear that final "detonation," Frank! Brilliant poetry. I was captivated by the rattling panes, worried crowds, aicid rain and God's creatures awaiting "another detonation." Awesome! Love, Carolyn
