Another Day In the Books

"Well another day in the books,
Happy I had what it took

To stay focused on my goals,
With the least amount of personal toll

It wasn’t perfect but enough,
For every day’s battles are tough

But I survived to fight another day,
Because most went my way

I take a deep breathe,
Tonight to reflect

And count my blessings,
Appreciating even the littlest thing

For I am a pawn in the game of life
God has a plan for me that’s right

For he will guide me,
To see that I achieve

That which I work so hard for everyday,
So as I say goodnight, I pray

To continue to believe in me,
And to hear my plea

That happiness is waiting,
When I achieve what I am seeking"
