Another Day

Star light, star bright I wish I may I wish might Get through Another day another night a vicious cycle a useless fight Can i just Be left alone Maybe i will turn out all right As Time slowly ticks away Another hour another day Tomorrow's another day It ends up the same anyway Another Gain another loss Blah!blah!a greedy boss A coin flip a hacky sack toss Cross my fingers, make the sign of the cross It's crazy cause thinking so much has me losing all the sleep I guess whatever they tell themselves to sleep is what helps them awake Shepard's should be concerned with counting sheep. I should fault myself, for letting everyone take, take, take!!!! The feeling of being abused There's only so much I can tolerate Will I always be used? How many can I exonerate? How many people can I let take me for a ride Before I turn to foolish pride there is not an once of me left Cause my life fell victim to a petty debt. I call it petty it wasn't taken in one lump sum Like a meal for a homeless bum Penny by penny A friend an enemy Was anyone a friend to me? Everything feels like a compromise Wish full thinking had me hoping for a surprise Everything seems so predictable Lies so large they warp our own principles Like a Black man trying to rent a room in Mississippi, and all are vacant Can't help you sir!the man at checkin replied I know how the story goes But Dam!!I wish it wouldn't have to be so blatant Virtues,a vice A thin line between the two Deceit, advice 1 and one makes two A mountain,a grain of rice How do we measure the two? You can move a mountain for someone, steel a grain of rice ,and the relationship is over with through!!
