Another Day

Another day, the sun rises
Life lived in bland monotony
I find at best I am complacent
existing on the borderline of contentment

It's rarely found to be of favor
but everyday you'll find me here
Waiting patiently for another chance
to leave my mark on so dull a world

Maybe today will be the day
that this bleak existence I suffer
Finally gives way to a new spark
and I find excitement has been born

I wish only to have a moment
A brief passing of time
Let me live my fifteen minutes
dancing quietly in the spotlight

Another day, the sun sets
I look out my window
With a sigh I find my bed
Another day passed,
Another day wasted.
