Another Choice
As planet Earth slowly revolves,
sunset inks the horizon red.
And as night shrouds reality,
anxieties are promptly fed.
Fear manifests in the shadows
that a dying sun has bestowed.
And dusk starts to blacken the sky,
as daylight begins to erode.
Ebony pools, in silhouettes,
etched on a monochrome twilight.
And trillions of stars pierce the dark
as galaxies: confetti night.
Sounds echo off walls of silence,
magnifying the softest voice.
While Luna beams Her saffron light;
offering night, another choice.
