Another Blessing

Life had been one kick and then a kick again.
My soul was crushed bleeding cut wide open.
Each day I only existed to hate the next
Then this man sent me a text.
We decided to chill for he seemed sincere
At this point fates plan wasn't so clear
Sitting back now I see it with ease
This man my JoJo was sent here for me.
Alone and hardened from the bumps and bruises
Destiny intervenes to fight it was useless
Joe showed me how to bear pain
How to remember the sunshine while sitting in the rain.
The most important key to overcoming the hurt
Is to keep hope alive not buried in dirt.
Always optimistic there's another way to see
Joe didn't even know it but he brought hope back to me.
He opened my eyes to the other side of the fence
My path of thinking wasn't the only one that made sense.
Now the time is approaching when yet I must issue another goodbye
And suck down the pain while trying not to cry.
For again someone dear to heart must leave
Thank God hope is present for now I can try to believe
That fate brought to me my best friend
And destiny will fight to not let this connection end.
So today as I sit alone in the chilly dusk right before night falls
Tears dripping I pray to the angels one and all
Take this man and deliver him to his destiny
But don't take him forever please bring him back to me.
He is one of you with out wings and glitter
For he has the power to make a heart not so bitter..
My eyes close and silently with selfish sorrow tears fall
I cant muster up happy not even at all..
