Wish we were just married. My trusting head upon your shoulder. When we had so terribly little, Yet.... so very much. And we seemed to have beeen blessed with the magic touch, That made us to the world far, far bolder! Watching the spiritual fog, lift the San Francisco sun each dawn. Like a deer, wakes each morning, to feed her dear, precious fawn. Really, few precious vittles to eat. Nontheless,we walked to Nortn Beach, To be with other poets for a Mocha treat. The San Francisco streets welcomed us. Those dewy, foggy nights, did embrace embrace us…thus! ~Dedication~ 1/29/2024 On our 65th wedding anniversary. To my writer/husband, who died at forty. ~~~~ 1/24/2024

Hello, Paula and thank you for reading this! I, too loved the cat image as it has a sense of sparkling serenity, acceptance and peace. My husband loved life, people and writing and reading! These days, who reads! Humanity hooked on FB, and far more. I think the internet is now a full blown addiction like alcohol or drugs, with AI , a true danger. I have seen it used by new poets. Poetry.when made a battlefield of contests, does not encourage learning of classical poetry at all. Just into inventing oddball forms. In the end, we all lose. This is my view and not well accepted here. Nor is poetry psychiatry. Pangie xx

Heartbreaking. You never forget. Next month will be my wife's anniversary, but I am not sure I'll write anything. Seven years and still grieving. Your situation is worse.

You put it quite well … Tom. I am sure. there are many poets here who are 40 and think they have 40 more years to go. Well, it’s not always that way is it? The point being that we enjoy today and live well.. condolences on going toa funeral for a person 50 years old.that’s pretty youngl. How sad. I hope you are on the mend. And feeling chipper.? I’m doing pretty good far away from 40 years old. huggs..PangiE xx YES. HE IS waiting ,Thank you..
