Animal Limerick

ANIMAL LIMERICK There was a young man named Chuck Who had a little white duck The duck disappeared And everyone feared That somebody stole Chuck's duck One day the little white duck Suddenly showed up at Chuck's With a lady duck Who had baby ducks Chuck has a house full of ducks The duck that belonged to Chuck Had a great streak of good luck He now has a mate His life is real great I know of no prouder duck 31 August 2018 For the contest sponsored by Charles Messina

Thanks, Jan! I had a terrific young lady give me some valuable pointers on the flow of limericks. She not only sent me one Soup mail, she kept on until I got it right. I owe her a huge vote of thanks and a truck load of hugs.

Thanks, Andrea! Limericks are my favorite form because they take very little muse to write. Always good to hear from you. Book number two is nearing completion for editing and printing. Once it is off the press, I'll send you a signed copy.

You did, Tom, but a little bird (not a white duck) told me the limerick form was not being followed and she gave me some good advice on how to fix it. So, I trashed the original and started over --- 3 times --- before I got it right. Now, let's see what Charlie (Chuck) Messina has to say about it.
