Animal Antics
When Tucker my Weim was just a pup, he was curious as could be.
No matter what he dug up, it was always fun for me.
I remember one day that grey ghost was sitting down by my shed.
He had never just sat like a log before, so I walked over to check out his head.
It seemed his mouth was all puffed out, his eyes were darting and wide .
I knew one thing ,with out a doubt, I had to take a look inside.
I gently grabbed Tucker's muzzle and opened his mouth to see.
In there was the answer to my puzzle, a bird chick looking back at me!
Perched on his tongue like a coo-coo, it sat there safe and sound.
I rescued this little bird who was amazed to still be around.
A "good boy" and pats to our young prize, and we thought that was the end.
But two days later to our surprise, the same thing happened again!
What a dog!
