Angst
Pathetic as you stare into the screen
Trying to find meaning with someone else's life
Dragging down all you thought you had
As you waste away with every passing minute
So disgusting it sounds as people talk of freedom
Hoping life is the dream you do not wake up from
Beat into submission the rebellious youth
As they try to teach you the world you live in
No longer exists
So what?! It doesn't matter
I can scream at you all day
You’ll remain as deaf as ever
So what?! It never mattered
I can nail open your eyes
Still you'll never see, you'll never see
Passing by the church you said could burn
Lying through your teeth as you proclaim your faith
Condemning me as I swim in your shadow
You never told me you'd be the one to kiss the flames
Despising the fortunate ignorant
Living life to a standard I cannot see
Welling up inside, the hateful words push through
I’d rather see you try to fly then know your name
Spoiled, name-brand clone
So what?! It doesn't matter
I can scream at you all day
You’ll remain as deaf as ever
So what?! It never mattered
I can nail open your eyes
Still you'll never see, you'll never see
You’ll never see
Me
