Angry Young Woman

You're an angry woman or so the text reads The statues and paintings don't match the text I've seen your image in blue and white hues Very Zen But you thanked God that he brought down the powerful lifted up the lowly and sent the rich away empty You were told not to be afraid, but you don't seem scared At the wedding in Cana you seem pushy You sent your other sons to "collect" Jesus" and he said "who is my mother?" I've known women like you, sort of Your anger echoes in the anger of women protesting, unsettling feminine rage Maybe it was your son that cleared the temple
