Angry Words

the angry words never stop
like a nail gun
the resentment seeps like a toxic
fume
between us
god I can't breathe at all
you follow me
berating and hollow about the house
demanding more
more
more
theres nothing I can say that has not been said
I'd rather
slap you down the stairs instead
but I go outside and stand it the
field
until it passes
and you are inside
on the computer game
where you live now.

actually it was a different game, and a dear friend that was enduring this humiliation - dragon realm. These poems are for him. I know some kids in my sons' dorms have failed out of school over World of Warcraft. Not much better!

tell me it's not World of Warcraft. I've seen that game destroy relationships completely, where the guy decides he'd rather live in the virtual world and ends up neglecting every possible real world responsibility he's ever had, right down to feeding and clothing himself. you're right though, there's not much more you can say, but you can definitely pin point whether or not he wants to listen. I hope things are ok now...thanks for sharing.
