Anger (Double Tanka)

spider in its web
waiting where all waiting sleeps
held in constant check
yes but the weaving is done
those thousands of deeds and thoughts

spider in its web
can you see him? look closely
he appears to sleep
head and eyes fixed straight ahead
but oh it’s an angry world

Daver, Here's a picture gift. http://daneann.redbubble.com/sets/77430/works/3406208-2-bannana-spider I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed your poem. Spiders are amazing. We used to have bananna spiders all among the trees at just about face level. But this year, many have built their webs 60-100 feet high in the trees. Smart move don't you think? BIG SMILE!!! Lovingly, Dane

Thought provoking with a message for the reader to think about. The question works well. Good use of imagery. Keep on writing!! Karen

Sounds like a trap. Spider webs are beautiful especilally if dew sprinkled. I have taken pictures of them but I hate to feel them. Like your expressiveness here. Keep writing. Sara Look at "Come Softly Love" see what you think.
