Anger

What drives you to do something
That you will regret
For the rest of your life
Well here's a hint
Revenge
But what causes revenge
Hatred
What is hatred
You feel hatred
Is it your fault
That you feel this way
When you feel those feelings
Your mind goes blank
But
What causes all these feeling
That's anger
Because of anger
You do something you don't mean
Can you control it
No
Anger is an emotion which is hard to control
Anger can easily control you
But when you get angry
Beware
When you get angry
You might do something
That will haunt you for the rest of your life

For me the more 'soul searching' I do the more I find myself angry. I probably spend 80% of my day feeling angry about something, somebody, some circumstance that I can't control. If anything I learned how often anger intrudes on my being, which is pretty much whenever I'm convinced the world owes me something. That sense of entitlement alone haunts me worse then anything I can actually do to someone. Thank you for writing a dark poem about a very dark emotion. I'm a fan of this type of work.
