it starts as a hurt
buried in a shallow grave
deep within the heart
where in times of pain
memories resurrect it
and it comes to life
seeking an excuse
it weaponizes contempt
and unleashes that hatred
on all those it blames
for life's failures and downfalls
oblivious as to why
