Angelus Ex Amore

Heart beat slows, blood stream flows All the same direction, just as intended, the way life goes Upwards, and downwards, the choice is not our own But in the end, you welcomed me home, and we were more then friends You kept my life, I carried yours, you were my beating heart, my tongue without need for word I could tell by the way you looked at me, time was running short If I knew I couldn't keep you, I would have ran much sooner To use my tounge, and hear my heart Instead I hear yours seemingly cease to stop beating I said it once, I said it twice, you were my fire, you were my ice You kept me sane, you showed me nice But now I say good bye Though it hurts beyond words to describe, to hold your head and watch you die As I look into those eyes, one last time, one last I hold you close Refusing to ever let you go Though you're gone, I won't be far, drifting close behind I see The green glow of your entity I leave my body down where you lay your head Without your love, I was already dead
