Angels We

Do the whales know that, all we are real? Do we, the humans, know that they can feel? Sing a song for us across the ocean, while harpoons pierce our hearts with such devotion. Curious they are about our souls Singing angels all of us behold. Curious we are; we come to Meat Lethal research, deeds we use to greet. Angels we, our beauty and our souls, Bleeding in the ocean, dying cold. ©david byrne dec 2011

Yes, the whales are not treated very kindly! A good poem to pay tribute to them, DAvid.
