Angels Watching Over Me
I've got angels watching over me, wherever I look is where they'll be
To keep me out of harms way, to safely guide me through my day
To whisper in my ear when I can't see, to lead me away from misery.
I've got angels watching over me, to help me up if I should fall
To push me over that scaling wall, to remind me that I am a child of
The most high God and to stand out and be set apart even though it
Makes me feel odd.
I've got angels watching over me, to show me what is right and wrong
And when I am weak God will make me strong. To comfort me when
I grieve and let me know that I must believe. To give me a shake when
I'm out of whack, and into the Fathers graces they lead me back.
Our angels are around us by night and by day, to keep our mind stayed
On Jesus and keep Satan away. To divert the hand of the enemy while
On this earth, for Jesus is the victor who gives us all new birth.
The Lord will keep his hand upon us as long as we obey, but if by chance
He should see fit, He'll let us go astray. No sooner than He turns us
Loose we'll reach out for His hand, Because without Jesus in our lives
No one could ever stand.
For out in the wilderness we may roam for a while, but when we return
To Jesus He'll say welcome back my child. God's angels are watching
Over us.
