Angels View

A. W. Nutter Enjoying this view from above An unconscious smile gives me delight Whispering poetry to the one I love My Princess dreaming of her knight Wishing I could bathe in your fragrance Savor the sweetness of your lips caress Consumed with desire by your presence My heart and soul you'll always possess Aching inside, to hold you in my arms My personal hell, unable to touch my lover Patiently I'll watch and keep you from harm Looking forward to the time you cross over

very interesting perspective sounds like,as myself, you can put yourself into the eyes and ears of whoever or whatever you are writing about...i to write about angels and demons and can see the point of view from all sides

Is this about the pre-existence, Anthony? The place where unborn souls live watching, waiting, longing to be born? The last line, "Looking forward to the time you cross over" makes me think about a baby being born...crossing over to mortality. But I'm not sure because of the line, "My personal hell, unable to touch my lover" where you refer to your angel as your lover. This poem flows well and has lovely rhyme. I wish I understood it better. Please explain. God be with you. Lovingly, Dane

Oh, this is very touching, Anthony. Reading it I couldn't help but think of my late husband waiting for me to "cross over." I do believe he looks down upon me with an angel's eyes. Love, Carolyn
