Angels On Guard
Angels in disguise
Standing guard
Protecting our country
Protecting our lives
Young and old
Men and women
Age or sex makes no difference
They come from near
They come from far
They are our brothers and sisters
In United States military uniforms
The branch it doesn't matter
They all defend our rights
Instead of shiny golden halos
They wear medals of honor
As the sun hits them directly
If you watch for their shillotte
Lies God given proof
They are all angels
Under all of that gear
Tucked away neatly
Are their wings and halos
Put away so discreetly
The job that they do
They do not in vain
Risking their lives
So that we can be safe
They all have families
They all have lives at home
When a call they recieve
A flight they hop on
Some never come home
The greatest sacrifice of all
They give up their lives
So that ours may go on
Next time you see one
Hold out your hand
Give a firm handshake
A pat on the back
Our freedom is their sacrifice
A job so well done
They go above and beyond
A salute to you soldiers
Thank you
Carry on
