Angels On An Escalator

angels on an escalator

moving cloud silent
towards a sunburst crack
in a dark winters sky.

appearing, white feather wings
golden halos glinting
as in pictures on gallery walls.

old masters saw them
I am sure now
They tried to help us all

because there they are
lined up step over step
reaching for heaven.

I have studied art, but the image this brings to mind for me is swans flying north (crazy bird lady I be) :) btw, fell in love with the title immediately xomo

Was on a bus traveling south to Barrie, early morning in November. Off to my right I see this crack in the cloud cover like a passage way of sorts. The sun beamed through nd on the beam rode angels.
