Angels Danced
Angels danced on the head of a pen. Too many to count, yet too few to achieve their goal. Redemption! Write one thousand times……”I must not laugh and talk in class.”
Is laughter such an evil it must be punished? conversation a criminal offense? Alas, to the cloaked keepers of the unkempt peons it was an offense against the soul of heaven. So did the angels dance in silence – punished for the sin of being angels,
of cherishing each others company. Slowly a darkness filled the room coating the silence in fear, denying the dance, separating the angels as a cloud of loneliness stilled their wings.
the silence of wings
in civil acquiescence
a fluttering dream
